Dear *CHILDNAME*,

The elves and I have been watching you very closely this year, and we’re happy to say that you’ve made it onto our list of good children! We’ve seen how nice you are to your friends, and how you share your toys with them. That’s very smart, because sharing helps you make new friends!  We’ve also seen how you say please and thank you to the adults. Your parents and your teachers like to hear please and thank you because it shows them what a great person you are growing up to be! And remember, if your teacher and your parents are happy, then the elves and I are also happy!

And wow, you are going to school now!? It’s sad being away from your parents all day, isn’t it? But did you know that your parents are also sad to be away from you? I know your parents want to spend every second of every day with you…. but they know that it is more important for you to go to school.  Have you ever wanted to be a teacher or a doctor?  Have you ever wanted to be a dentist or a fireman? Well, the only way you can be one of these people is to go to school and learn from your teachers.  This is why your parents make sure you go to school.  Yes, they are sad to see you go, but they are very proud to see you grow up and learn the things you need to become an adult! We all are proud of you, so keep up the good work!

And I almost forgot to tell you about all the surprises I have for you on Christmas morning.  You’re going to get a Huge… Gigantic… Enormous…. JUST KIDDING! You will have to wait to see your presents on Christmas.  I know you will be surprised when you see what the elves and I have created for you.

So make sure to write back to me!  I want to hear all about the fun times you’ve had with your presents, and I want to hear about all of the good things you’re doing in school. Your parents and I are so proud of you, so keep up all of the good work!!
